Ingredients
For marination
- 6 to 8 paneer cubes
- pasta/pizza sauce as required to coat the paneer
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp jeera powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano seasoning
for batter
- 3 to 4 tsp maida/rice/all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala optional
- salt as per taste
- ghee/oil for frying
- bread crumbs
Method
- Marinate paneer with ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, jeera powder, oregano seasoning, and pizza/pasta sauce. mix well. keep aside and prepare the batter.
- Prepare bread crumbs or buy readymade and keep aside
- In a bowl mix maida, cornflour, red chili powder, turmeric powder,garam masala(optional) & salt, Add some water to make a paste just to coat the paneer pieces well.
- Dip marinated paneer in the batter and then roll in breadcrumbs.
- Repeat this step for the rest of the paneer pieces.
- When oil is hot enough, deep fry paneer pieces until golden brown on both sides. Remove & drain on a paper towel.
- Serve crispy & crunchy paneer pieces with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
