Ingredients

For marination
  • Boneless Chicken pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • Curd
  • 2 tsp tandoori masala
  • 2 tsp Cornflour.
For gravy
  • 1tsp oil
  • 2 medium chopped onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick/powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree or 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Pinch of cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped green coriander
  • 2 to 3 tsp milk or milk cream
  • Kasuri methi
  • 4 to 5 Cashew nuts
  • Salt to taste
Method

Marinate chicken pieces with all above ingredients.and keep aside for half an hour.
  1. Soak cashew in hot water and keep aside.
  2. Melt butter in a pan on low flame, add cinnamon stick, garlic, cardamom, onion, fry till onion becomes golden brown.
  3. Add tomato and cashew, fry on low flame till tomato becomes mushy.
  4. Blend fried onion and tomato, cashew, cardamom into a fine paste.
  5. Heat a pan add oil. Fry marinated chicken pieces till golden brown on both sides or grill the chicken pieces. 
  6. After chicken fried or grilled, 
  7. Heat Kadai Add the ground paste in it, boil on low flame, add 1 tsp chilly,1/2 tsp turmeric powder and Garam masala.
  8. When it shimmer, add cream or milk in it.
  9. Cook on low flame till the gravy becomes thick.
  10. Add salt and sugar is optional as per taste.
  11. Add fry chicken or grilled chicken pieces in it.cook for 5 min on low flame
  12. Add chopped coriander and Kasuri methi.
  13. Serve hot with bread or paratha.
