Pav Bhaji is cooked in different style and method. Every style has different taste and flavour, different mashed vegetable.pav bhaji was originated from Maharastra and then spread through all over India and on the street or restaurants. pav bhaji is made up of a mashed different vegetable and special blend masala. do not eat pav bhaji masala with sliced bread the taste will differ it is better with pav which is toasted with butter.

when I was in Mumbai for a certain period of time I tasted Mumbai street Pav bhaji its flavour was unique and spicy. Today I am going to write on Mumbai street pav bhaji which I tried at home.
MUMBAI STREET PAV BHAJI RECIPE

Ingredients
- Butter
- Pav
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tomato chopped
- 2-3 green chillies
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 capsicum chopped
- 2 tsp pav bhaji masala
- 1/2 carrot chopped
- cauliflower
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1 potato chopped
- salt to taste
- water
Method
- Pressure cook all the veggies ie chopped carrot, cauliflower, potato, capsicum and peas, Do not drain water after pressure cook.
- Mashed all the pressure cook veggies.
- Heat a pan add butter when it melts add cumin seeds let it sputter, add chopped onion fry till golden brown and ginger garlic paste saute till raw aroma goes away.
- Add chopped tomatoes fry till get mashed and cut green chillies.
- Add chilli powder and pav bhaji masala, mix well, cook till the masala gets separates.
- Add cooked vegetable with vegetable stock, again mashed everything with a mashed spatula.
- cut pav into two pieces,
- Heat pan adds butter when it melts add 1 tsp pav bhaji masala mix well in butter.
- Roast the cut pav on melted butter from both side
- Serve pav bhaji with chopped onion, coriander leaves and lemon juice on top with toasted masala butter pav.
